Islamabad: Islamabad District Court Orders Blocking of Imran Khan and 27 YouTube Channels Over Anti-State Propaganda
An Islamabad district court has ordered the blocking of 27 YouTube channels, including that of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, on charges of spreading anti-Pakistan propaganda.
The order was issued on June 24, 2025, by Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah in response to a petition filed by the FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing. The affected YouTube account holders reportedly received takedown notices from the platform on Tuesday.
According to the written court order, the list includes former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and journalists Matiullah Jan, Sabir Shakir, Abdul Qadir, Haider Mehdi, Imran Riaz, Orya Maqbool Jan, Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Asad Toor, and Siddique Jan, among a total of 27 YouTubers.
