z.bhatti@greencitizenmedia.comThe terms 'social media' and 'citizen journalism' are not novel in the epoch of information technologies and modern democracies. During the last 20 years, Pakistani society has entirely changed. People are clutching at political awareness with every passing day, where the urban population debate about economic changes and the country's foreign policy on social media. Women are exerting in political activities and attending public meetings, so there is a need to establish a platform that focuses on and foments citizen journalism in the country and Pakistani diaspora worldwide Green Citizen Media has been established as the mainstream alternative to talk about politics, the economy, international relations, the showbiz world, drama, civil and military bureaucracy and many more. Citizen journalism and modern media are the future of the fourth estate, and GCM (Green Citizen Media) is confined to providing a comprehensive platform to our social media patrons.
We are professional journalists, but our Platform, Green Citizen Media, is designed to bolster and patronise citizen journalism. GCM is an independent media platform and political discussion forum. We are the contemporary style of the print and electronic media and pledged to perform our role as a watchdog, not the lapdog.
We are a non-traditional TV network and a far-reaching social media forum. Green Citizen Media is not a news channel, but we will airtime documentaries, political talk shows, interviews, video features, comedy telegenic, podcasts, educational discussions, and more. We have a free-Ads policy and proportion for non-profit social, educational, and health-related activities.
Green Citizen Media is accomplished with a dedicated production and media team, but user-generated content (UGC) would be our substantial operation source. In citizen media, our users can deliver their reviews and share videos, audio and written stories. We have a 'Green Forum' where users can sign up and create threads for open discussion.
